Kitty Cat Cosmetics

This is a cosmetics line I created for my packaging design class. I created it to fill what I perceive as a true gap in the market. I'm a makeup lover but I am so pale that I often struggle to find a shade that matches my skin tone, especially at a reasonable price. There are several makeup lines that cater specifically to women of color so I thought I would create a line specifically for really, really pale women such as myself. I decided to give the line a borderline goth feel because they are a group who typically strive to have a very fair complexion. However, I also didn't want to turn off anyone who doesn't like the goth aesthetic so I tried to fine a balance. The only thing I am not 100% happy with is the shape of the foundation bottle. I think it looks a bit like a spray paint can but I spent many hours struggling with the 3D effects in Illustrator and this was as close as I could get to my desired shape.The one other thing I would change if I were to make this into a real brand would be the cat theme. I would definitely dial it back a bit since I know not everyone loves cats as much as I do, however, I think it worked well for the project.
